Toastmasters are encouraged to expand communication and leadership skills by accepting leadership roles. From the club level, members can apply to be appointed as an Area Director or apply to be candidate for an elected position including Division Director, Club Growth Director, Program Quality Director, and District Director. And, let’s not forget the positions where we can serve in finance, public relations, logistics and other critically important support leadership roles!

It is the purpose of the District Leadership Committee to make members aware of what positions are available and lead the process which allows members to apply for elected AND appointed positions.

Want to Extend Leadership to the Next Year?

Good News - Some Officers Can

SOME current-year leaders can submit themselves to continue serving in their current position.

Once a member serves as District Director, Club Growth Director, or Program Quality Director for a full year, they may NOT be re-elected to the same office for a succeeding term.

Division Directors may be re-elected to one succeeding term.

These leadership positions can be reappointed to one succeeding term:

  • Public Relations Manager
  • Administration Manager
  • Finance Manager
  • Area Directors

    Area Director Leadership

    Upper level leadership in Toastmasters typically begins at the Area Director position. Area Directors are appointed by each year's incoming District Director. Get your name on the list EARLY.
